Craterellus cornucopioides


The fruit body is funnel-shaped, widening in the upper part, hollow, 2-8 cm wide, 3-10 cm high. The outside surface is with irregular branched longitudinal folds, grey-blue, dark-grey, mat. The inside surface is grey-brown, black-brown, black, fine-scaly. The edge is irregularly repand, deeply chopped. The meat is thin, fibrous, grey-dark with pleasant taste. The spore dust is white, formed on the outside surface of the fruit body. It grows in coniferous, mixed and broad-leaved forests, on acid sandy soils, (VII-XI), often in big thick groups.
