Armillaria mellea, commonly known as honey fungus, is a basidiomycete fungus in the genus Armillaria. The mushrooms are edible. This species is capable of producing light via bioluminescence in its mycelium.

Armillaria mellea is widely distributed in temperate regions of the Northern Hemisphere.
